pvdborne: The problem is caused by invalid data in the timesheet, generally because of rows that were once associated with an assignment but the assignment was deleted or shortened. Try deleting and recreating the timesheet, that generally fixes it.

This problem usually arises when the timesheet contains invalid data. You may need to delete the timesheet and recreate.

Hi,

My customer is using the latest solution and now he is expiencing exactly the same issue as reported by azjimwoodny Mar 5 2010 at 11:40 PM. This is after a number of months in use.

Most timesheets are imprted correctly, but some generate this error. What could be the issue.

Can you please help me out?

We are receiving three successive 9681 events, an error and two information, recurring almost constantly. The error is as follows:

Additionally, we are experiencing the following front-end behavior:

1. User submitted a timesheet 6/19-2011-6/25/2011 with time against a task; when the time was accepted into the project plan, no Actual Work was recorded against the task. Resource had to notify Project Owner that the task was completed and what timesheet time was recorded against.

2. Same user as above unable to adjust Remaining Work on project tasks without getting a queue job failed error. Other users are able to adjust Remaining Work from his computer. Have reviewed ActiveX Controls; cleared cache; cleared browser history; removed user from AD; removed from PWA Group, put back in and saved; removed from company AD account; had user change Remaining Work from other computer without avail; included PWA in trusted sites; reviewed add-ons and verified pop-up blockers were disabled.

3. Timesheets reverting back to previous setting to require additional approver even with Fixed Approval Routing selected. During week of 8/15/2011, began seeing Set Next Approver on certain Resource Manager accounts with Resource Manager listed as next approver. Upon selecting Approve, timesheet review would result in Failed and Blocking Correlation in the queue with the following error message:

We are currently running on Service Pack 2 with Cumulative Updates through Aug 2011.

Hi All

I'm fairly sure it's something simple but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

I have one of my users whose timesheet will not process through autostatus plus. The user is a little unusual as previously it was handled as a generic user without a PWA Timesheet, but has now been updated to use the PWA Timesheet system. The timesheet side works as expected, the user can create their timesheet and can see all their assignments. The timesheet will process properly in PWA but fails when it gets to autostatusplus. Examining the tsAutoStatusPlusData table, the timesheets now continually fail every minute or so.

I have compared the users rights and groups with a similar user to ensure that they had the same permissions and groups, which of course they do. I even added the user to the Admin group to see if that would help, but of course it made no difference at all.

Thinking it may be down to the windows user associated with the account, I changed it to one that I knew worked, but this made no difference either.

If you have any thoughts about what I might check to resolve this issue I would be most grateful.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but everything is installed an I have put in several commands to change parameters, and they get accepted. However whenever I submit a timesheet, it is not importing it. I am set to "onsubmitted" and 1 minute interval.

There's an obscure issue that I've seen pop up a few times... is the account you are logged in as when trying to activate set up as a Farm Administrator, and do you also have EXECUTE permissions in the Config DB?

If not, can you try logging into the server as the farm admin account and activating from there?

The problem I am getting now however, is the new event handlers just don't seem to fire. No errors in the SharePoint log (in fact it shows that the handler was successfully registered) but there is nothing in the Auto Status Plus log (only shows the entries from when the previous handlers firing).

Hi All

This is probably somethign really daft I have done/not done. AutoStatusPlus is installed and working, but for me only. Whenever another user enters time into their timesheet and saves ot saves/submits it the transfer fails. I have pasted an error that occurs in the Event Log which seems to be related. I tried giving a user the same permissions in Project as I have, but this did not work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It appears the server is accessing the previous URL - which has been forwarded to a seperate site just for the Workspace sites. Is is possible to show/change the URL it is accessing?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm not sure where to look to verify this configuration. I'm forcing the application to use the epmcluster.hearstbusinessmedia.com URL, but the application insists on using the epmdocs.hearstbusinessmedia.com URL.

I've configured the server with the following command:

I double checked and both accounts (svc_sppservice and svc_farmservice) have local admin rights, are admins in Project Server, have SSP Process Account access, and are owners of the reporting database.

Still stumped!

Ah... I think that may be the problem, then. In your configuration, svc_farmservice falls under this section of the documentation:

The identity account(s) for the Microsoft Office Project Server Events Service and the Windows SharePoint Services Timer service must have the following permissions:
- Local Administrator
  - The account must be a member of the Administrators group on the server where running AutoStatusPlus.
- Project Server Administrator
  - The account(s) must be a member of the Administrators group of all Project Server instance(s) where running AutoStatusPlus.
- Shared Service Provider(s) Process Account
  - The account(s) must have Process Account access to the Shared Service Provider(s) serving the desired instance(s) of Project Server.
- db_owner in Project Server Reporting Database(s)
  - The account(s) must be able to create and delete tables, stored procedures, and other SQL objects.

So, try giving svc_farmservice all of those things and see if that fixes it.

I'll correct the stsadm command's help output; my apologies. An HTTP Status 401 is an error from a web service, not a database error. You must not have permission somewhere. Is the SSP account configured as a user with membership in the Administrators group in Project Server?
